World Team
If you are really top class and gain enough caps you would be eligible to be picked for the World Team. As the name suggests these events are held all over the world and are highly prestigious.
About us
The Peninsula Federation was formed in October 2005 and accepted in the Confederation of English Fly fishers in November of that year.
The objectives of the federation are to promote and preserve angling, particularly competitive fly fishing.

The levels
Once you have entered one of the qualifiers in either the Loch Style or River’s discipline you stand a chance of reaching the National Final of that section. The top anglers in those finals go on to represent England.

Loch Style Final
The top 100 anglers from the qualifying heats around the country compete for the 28 places available.
Half of the 28 top anglers will represent England in the Spring Home International against Scotland Ireland and Wales, the other 14 represent England in the Autumn International against the same countries.

Rivers Final
The top 32 anglers from the qualifying heats around the country compete for 5 places to represent England in the Rivers Home Internationals against Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The venue for this is rotated between the four countries.

European Team
If you qualify to represent England at either Loch Style or Rivers you are then able to build towards gaining a European cap.
These events are held all over Europe against some of the best anglers in the world. This year Andrew Gooding has been selected to be in the European Team.
